Englewood Cliffs possesses Old World charm with modern conveniences. Englewood Cliffs is a small borough with a big personality. Located on the edge of Bergen County and bordered by the Hudson River, the community only has less than four square miles to its name. But that hasn’t stopped major companies from making their bases here, from CNBC and LG Corp to Unilever. 

Despite its economic development, Englewood Cliffs preserves its historic charm as seen in its collection of conserved historic buildings. Its riverfront location also offers convenient access to New York City, as well as doses of outdoor recreation. Some 5,300 residents are proud to call Englewood Cliffs their home.

Points of interest

• The Rockefeller Lookout is one of the top attractions in Englewood Cliffs. Apart from must-see views of the Bronx and Manhattan skyline, guests can have a tranquil picnic at a designated garden area. Stay until nighttime to watch the glittering New York City skyline from across the river.
• A few of Palisades Interstate Park’s notable attractions are located in Englewood Cliffs. These include Henry Hudson Drive, a scenic roadway that stretches for at least eight miles, all the way to Alpine Park in the north. Along the way, you’ll find Bloomer Beach, Undercliff Beach, and Englewood Marina. 
• Grissini is a beloved local restaurant that has been serving classic Northern Italian cuisine to Englewood Cliffs residents since 1993. Patrons have become family, gathering at Grissini on Saturday and Sunday nights for hearty family meals and proprietor Tony del Gatto’s special Sunday sauce. 

Real estate at a glance

Single-family homes dominate the market, available in a wide variety of sizes and architectural styles. Some of the older properties date as far as the early 20th century, although homes from the 1950s (and newer) can also be found throughout the borough. Lot sizes vary, ranging from 0.25 to half an acre.
